If you can afford DRO, table feed, and power downfeed, skip the milldrill and get a knee mill. If necessary, get the knee mill without DRO or feed and add them later. You will loathe losing location every time you move the head on the round column mill drill. I don't think the convenience of power feeds or DROs willcompensate. YMMV.

I have gotten used to the workflow of using the square column head as the knee think of it as a knee mill upsidedown, although precision adjustments are done with the quill. I would also say that I would hate this mill without the power downfeed for the head. It is very hard to raise with the hand crank. It is a pleasure with the power feed.
